This is great news for all YouTube fans – YouTube has launched YouTube Community, a new feature designed to help your favourite YouTubers interact with their fans. This time, interacting goes beyond video and it includes text, images, gifs and more. The viewers can access the feature in the subscription feed and there’s also an option of getting a notification every time your favourite YouTuber posts something.
YouTube Creators said, “Community is a special release for us because it represents the deepest product collaboration we’ve ever done with creators like you. We started by inviting creators in early to develop, in partnership with us, the tools they wanted to better engage with their fans.” YouTube Community is launched in beta, including a selection of YouTubers – Peter Hollens, The Kloons, Lilly Singh, John & Hank Green, AsapSCIENCE, Sam Tsui, Karmin, The Game Theorists, Rosianna Halse Rojas, Threadbanger and VSauce3.
We still don’t know all the details, but the feature was developed by Google and it was a top secret project. This definitely seems like an interesting concept, combining our two favorite things – YouTube and social media. The interactions with YouTubers will definitely be interesting and fun.
Since the YouTube scene is so big and loved by a lot of people, this seems like a great new feature to make the YouTube community even stronger. To end with final words from YouTube Creators, “As creators, your ideas and feedback shape our platform, inspire new features, and help us decide what to prioritize. It’s you who ultimately build YouTube and as the new Community product shows, together, we make YouTube better for everyone.”
